Oh I wonder what is the resale value of the professional line.

Mannn, I was just wondering what I’m gonna do with both of mine….

But I’ll never sell it, too many memories. Plus the faux leather case is actually nice and I got both for free~

:(( @christine maybe we should test the durability of ours by throwing it off a tall building!

There’s no way I could sell mine after so much blood, sweat and tears has been shared between us! Plus after 3 years I can’t remember how to use my Sharp EL-531LH

You say that @MattJuniper, I look at mine now after 2 years and have no idea how to operate it already

      @Sophie I want a video!

We’re discussing how to do that right now! Probably in the summer when it’s warmer. Good chance to test my GoPro camera 😀

@christine I have a lot of calculators lying around in my house, would you like some for a practice run :p

I wonder what the price of a forward on a Professional would be for delivery in 3 months time 🙂

:(( @christine maybe we should test the durability of ours by throwing it off a tall building!

That could be a nice bonus section of the 300 hours site! I’m sure people would want to know how their calculator would be affected if it was run over by a car/dropped from a tall building/thrown down some stairs on the way to the exam!

That’s a good idea @mattjuniper – we could run a poll where people could vote what is the best way to destroy my poor old calculator…

      1. Dropped off tall building
      2. Hammer
      3. Run over by car (although I don’t think that would be very interesting to watch)

      toast your calculator
how long is last against a water gun?

Also what am I suppose to do with 18 volume of the CFA curriculum (when I get to level 3).

      Quasi-coffee table?

We can capture some slow-mo action as well. It’ll be awesome! We’re definitely doing this.

I have all my volumes lined up on a bookshelf, just so I look intelligent when people come by and they can see what I had to go through. I obviously don’t mention I never read them and relied on Scweser!

Wow! Those are some destructive minds at work :ar! Anyone who has used the BA II Plus Professional, just wanted to know if your calculator lasted all 3 levels of the exam. If yes, then how long was it before you changed the battery?

I’ve got both the Plus and Plus Professional. Haven’t changed the battery in either of them yet, might do so before the exam, although purely out of fear rather than actually thinking the battery has run out!

Haven’t changed my battery yet – I’m at Level 3 but failed Level 2 once, so it’s already in its 4th year.

@Zee and @Jimmyg thanks. I guess I’ll just carry an extra battery then.

I’ve never run out of battery on mine either. I first bought it in 2008, it’s been used for all my exams, and I still use it every now and then. Still going strong.

The extra calculators or batteries is more of a safety blanket in my opinion. The calculator is going to be fine during the exam 😀

@Christine I’ve been using mine since the last 2 years. Should be fine then.
