Job prospects for a non finance major

Hello everyone,

I am planning to take the L1 exam this  December and L2 in June 2017 (hopefully). Before I dive into seriously investing my time and money, I want to know what kind of job prospects are out there for someone with a CFA certification and an engineering major. I have a Master of Science in Electrical engineering and 3.5 years of related work experience. I am interested in switching to finance.  Sorry if I have posted this in the wrong place. This is my first post on this forum 🙂
