It’s always people who have no idea what the exam is, and they say things like, “oh, xxx did it, and they did it with only 3 weeks of study! You’ll be fine!”
balls.

I had this guy at work. While I was studying for level 1, he told me that someone else at work had apparently “failed” Level 1 even though he was “Brilliant”. Well, with all that negativity, I managed to clear Levels 1 and 2 and shut him up. Whereas these days, whenever I come across someone who knows I am not employed and studying for Level 3, keeps saying “I’m sure you’ll clear it” or things like “I’ve heard Level 3 is easy, you should be fine”. I’m like “you think?” :-w

I told someone off before for saying ‘you’ll be fine’ one too many times. I think I was a bit irrational, perhaps, but i was seriously annoyed.

I feel CFA is just one of those professional exams. No one can really understand what you have gone through unless they have given the exam themselves. Only a CFA can understand what it takes to clear the exams, and what it means to the candidates.

With Level 3 the crap I get is ‘come on, last one! you’ve already passed 2, this one is a piece of cake!’ and so on.

hehe mine’s worse. “you’ll be fine, you’re not working anyway, tons of time to study” = double whammy
I was like: Thanks for telling me I’m jobless
