Last year I interviewed some proctors – that was actually quite fun and insightful. Any suggestions should I get some free time on this coming fateful Saturday morning?

That was an interesting read.
I had a friend receive a notice from CFAI claiming that he had study notes with him in the exam hall which we found weird since I was with him (and I received nothing from CFAI) and neither of us even brought study notes to the exam centre.
There was no follow up and nothing about cancelling his score….
On a side note did you hear that the SAT exam was cancelled in South Korea? Exams and all the crazy cheating….

@mattjuniper I left after interviewing the proctors. No desire to stay around for the DLR to be clogged…

in case you become one at the excel centre, any privileges for members of 300hour’s forum? E.g. get to leave the hall first (something like express boarding), special 300hours lounge (so we don’t have to cramp with everyone else), etc? 😀

@diya @sankrutimehta the strictness varies from centre to centre but in general I’d behave very well. If you get a note from CFAI you have a very good chance of getting your exam invalidated…@diya I think your friend was super lucky!

Good read. I don’t understand why people would cheat for the CFA exam. Clearly, it’s conducted by the strictest institute out there. Why take the risk at all? Be like the risk-averse investors (excluding the part where they don’t mind taking extra risk for possibility of compensating returns).
Anywho, it’s like taking a badminton racquet to defend yourself in a fight against a Lion.

@diya: Lots of instances of cheating – I put that in an early post (http://www.300hours.com/1/post/2012/06/a-dark-side-there-is-cheating-in-the-cfa-exams.html), also how the proctor selection process goes. They get paid pretty well!
@vincentt: I like the idea of a 300 Hours lounge! Probably not feasible though… -
