I will be taking Level 3 next June and would appreciate advice on the best way to practice for the long-form questions. For Levels 1 and 2 I have simply done thousands of practice multi-choice, which has worked well. That's obviously not an option for Level 3, so I'd like to hear of ideas for understanding and practicing against the marking scheme.

  Hi @BeanCounter, I’m preparing for Level 3 for next June too! The CFA Institute has made available the essay type exams of the last three years, so you can look at those to get an idea. I haven’t seen them yet. I think you can find them by doing a google search for ‘CFA Institute exams level III’ or something like that — the CFAI website is not the easiest to use!
