My situation is same as yours. I passed level 1 in 2009 and am going to attempt level 2 in June 2014. Mean while I have attempted level 2 once before but didn’t succeed.
Up3hey. count me in too. I was an associate financial advisor. I have worked on corporate finance and transaction services assignments. And ya….have handled financial models too.
Up3I would be going for a financial modelling course/workshop along with CFA. A plus point for the career both in terms of CV enhancement and learning.
Up2I believe its a good idea to start studying early in case you ve forgotten a lot. Just as my case 😀

Up1I belong to Pakistan and am going to be an overseas student for CFA Level 2 in London. I already have 2 years of relevant professional experience in Pakistan. I read your article, which says, “internship experience won’t count in relevant professional experience”. Based upon my student status , I am afraid to get a full time job, whereas an internship would be possible. Can you please guide me regarding making my work experience to be qualified?

Up1I am also resitting for level 2 in 2015. I have the above mentioned materials, as you have. I think that there are a few changes in 2015 curriculum, so it is better to have the updated notes. Significant changes in “Fixed Income”. You can find the summary of changes in 2015 curriculum over here : http://irfanullah.co/wp-content/uploads/2014/08/CFA-Level-II-2014-2015-Program-Changes.pdf. I would be focusing on question practice. Because I feel that I understand the concepts better but its handling the exam technique, where I lack. So as much practice as possible. CFA Curriculum end of chapter questions, Kaplan Q Bank, Schweser end of chapter questions and practice books. It is a good idea because it will help me to look at the big picture and keep all different subjects intact and I would have an eye on all of them.
I recommend studying from Kaplan material. But in case I get confused on any topic, I consult CFA Institute Books. but CFA Institute End of Chapter Questions are a must.Best of luck.
