Hmmm… A late starter, but I thought Germany or Holland more or less from the first week. In all fairness, it was a rubbish final. German keep-ball and 9 Argentinians behind the ball most of the time. A few good breaks from the Argies in the first half. Messi more or less absent after half time.

I’ve never really been satisfied in general with World Cup finals…

I have to agree @Sophie‌. Germany clinically demolished some good teams this time around, including 4-0 against Portugal and then that absolute hammering dished out to Brazil in the semis. Rather a shame The Netherlands didn’t sneak past Argentina, they’re a rather more attack minded team and it would have been a better, more open game (or an early goal by the Germans in the final, forcing Argentina to come out and chase the ball more).
