I read this analogy that one of my friends posted on fb. Found it hilarious and apt at the same time considering we talk about risk and return so often (especially at Level 3) 😛 .

“In the world of investments, returns and risks are to an investor what candies and pills are to a child.”

I have one of my own though,

“Risk is to return what Speed is to a car, the higher the speed, the faster the car. But again, theres a chance that you may crash out unless you can handle it”

      Any other comparisons? 😀

Any gamble could be a reflection of risk/return…but I get your point.

How about drinking and getting some action for the night?

Return and risk to an investor is what getting laid and getting wasted is to a bar-hopper. You could have increased confidence with a little alcohol and possibly end up with a good night, or you could overdo it and end up on the floor with a hangover. 😀
