Having read a few people’s comments (@Diya etc.), it seems like the CFAI mock exam for Level 2 this year is an absolute killer. To this end, I thought I would offer my 2 cents.

Last year, I had two CFAI Level 2 mocks, and I found both exceptionally tough (especially cross currency swaps!). A week before the exam I also bombed-out massively on them both, and it really put me down as well. I was certain I was going to fail, and this was after putting more work and revision into this than I had ever put into anything at all. So I know how you feel.

Take a deep breath. You still have a week. If your finding it tough, trust me, there are a lot more people out there finding it tougher.

It’s easy to say that you’ll go back to concentrating on the Schweser mocks, but just take into account who is writing the exam paper. Not Schweser, but CFAI. If you’ve done the Schweser exams, my advice would be to go back over the CFAI questions as these are likely to be more similar to what’s in the eventual paper.

You still have 5 whole days left. If you work for 10 hours a day (tough, but not impossible) then that’s 50 hours left, which is a long time. Use it wisely and you will be in the best possible shape on E-Day.

      Good luck all!

@sidmenon I have been on the down-low for a few weeks, with my head in a book. Thought you could do with some time to catch-up 😉

lol @MattJuniper not really a killer, poorly written.

I was able to nail a 67% between the two section (and I left a lot of blanks in the pm section because I just lost my will to take the exam seriously).

I spent a better part of my weekend on the CFAI’s mock and I simply expressing that in the final days if you haven’t tackled the mock it might be wise to skip it because of the frustrating nature of it. I feel like I wasted my time on it. Between today and Thursday I plan on clocking 20 hours but I might just get lazy and rest. I was planning on resting starting Sunday but since I have time I might as well study…

Haha, thank you for slowing down so we could be at par with you, Your Majesty! 😛
