Hi, I just found out I did not pass the Level II this last June, but am absolutely going to try again last year. I think it would be helpful to have a study group for motivation and questions. Is there anyone in San Diego who would be interested?

      Thanks,
      Maggie

        Hi @maggie_b‌, welcome!

Sorry to hear you didn’t pass. Forum members have put together study groups here in the past, but many candidates have foudn it easier to discuss concepts they’re unsure about just by starting a new discussion. Feel free to do so if you run into any trouble – we take all questions! 🙂

Maggie, I also did not pass but am not in San Diego, but feel free to email me questions/tips/ anything else. I know I’ll also need the motivation to start the process over again.

Both my roommates are starting school this week, one in his 2nd year of law school the other his 2nd year of his MBA program, so I will probably start going over some material very shortly just to slowly get back into it.

Last time I read through the CFA book like I did for L1, I think I will forgo that for my strong areas this time to save some time and spend more time on practice questions early instead of just the last 2 months.
What was your plan of attack last time?

I only read the Schweser notes for both L1 and L2. It worked for L1, not L2. I am going to read the CFA curriculum beginning with Quantitative. My goal for now is 5-10 hours/week beginning this week. I would like to be through Quant and Econ by the end of October. I would like to be through all of the material by March and then start reviewing again. Last year I didn’t start studying until February and barely made it through the material, let alone practice tests.

Hi Erik, I’ve had no luck with a group. But, would definitely be interested in studying. How’s your studying going? Are you in SD yet?

Thank you! Alex, when are you going to start studying again? How did you study last time and what are you going to do this time?

Hi! I just read this thread and was wondering if you had any luck with a study group. with a month away for CFA level 2 exams, it would be still good to discuss questions. Anyone?

                    Hi maggie_b,

I am going to be moving to San Diego this February  and was wondering if you encountered any success in finding study groups for the CFA Level II. I am registered to re-take the Level II exam like you and would be interested in a group. Hope to hear back!

                    Erik
