To all you Studying for June, we wanted to invite you to participate in a friendly competition. Right now at Passed Tense we’re holding an “Earned Level Challenge”. We’re paying $50 to the top 20 users with the highest Earned Level in our system. You can participate for FREE. Right now the number to beat is 6.4 to be part of the top 20.

“Earned Level” is our Adapt exam engine’s rating of the mastery you’ve achieved of the material for the exam. Our Adapt exam engine is unlike any other mock engines in that it give you the “right question at the right time”, giving you easier questions at first and more difficult questions as your Earned Level increases. In addition to that, our Adapt engine gets “smarter” as more people use it, adjusting question difficulty based on how many people are answering it correctly.

Learn more about the Challenge here: http://blog.passedtense.com/announcing-the-earned-level-challenge/

To Participate, either sign into your Passed Tense account or sign Up for our Adapt exam engine here: https://www.passedtense.com/Enroll (Click “Purchase” at the bottom to get Adapt Free until the June exam).

Once you are logged in, click on “Custom” and select a difficulty level for your Adapt Exam. Questions at difficulty 7 are targeted to be on par with the CFA Level 1 exam questions.

We wanted to provide you all with two updates:

          1) There was some fierce competition during our Earned Level Challenge! The top 20 earned levels all over 7. Since “7” is our Adapt engine’s target difficulty for the CFA Level 1 exam, these 20 people should be very well prepared for the coming exam!

We thank all of you who got to try out Passed Tense and participate in our Earned Level Challenge!

          2) We identified issues in our exam engine for users with Internet Explorer 8 and below. These old browsers (5+ years out of date) are just not able to handle modern Javascript and result in lots of funny issues. Microsoft has stopped support for IE 8. Gmail and Google Apps stopped supporting IE 8 a few years ago. With our update release coming out later this month, we will now only be supporting Internet Explorer 9 and above. Of course, Passed Tense continues to work great in Chrome, Safari, Firefox, and IE 11, which are the browsers we recommend.

            CedricJ,

I am very sorry to hear that! That does indeed sound very frustrating!

This is very concerning feedback to us. We have not had any other reports of either crashing or delays. We take that kind of thing very seriously. We will follow up with you via e-mail to get more details so we can thoroughly research what happened. We can also pull the data to let you know how you did on the exam.

I see that you’ve taken other quizzes and exams successfully and have been building your earned level. Hopefully this was the only time you experienced an issue and that Adapt has been helping you as you prepare for the coming exam!

If you experience any other issues, please e-mail support@passedtense.com or use our online chat tool and we will address them promptly.

We hope you do great on your exam!

Seriously if you’re trying to promote your website sort it out first. I just spend 4hrs doing mock exams. Did it twice, the first time it all crashed at question 100-something and the second time it didn’t let me score it. When I finally managed to log in after a million tries, it hadn’t saved any answers…

It’s a great tool but it got sooooooooo many glitches. Don’t really have 4hrs to spend on mock exams that doesn’t show me the results 1 week before the real exam…
