      Hi All,

      I have recently enrolled for the CFA Level I exams in June 2015 and have been looking at various study support packages. Which have people found the most useful and would recommend?

      Thanks in advance.

      @TheLetace‌

      Schweser notes seem to be the most popular ones out there. So a combination of Schweser + EOC questions in Schweser + EOC questions in the curriculum + Schweser Qbank + Lots of revision + about 6 mocks should be good.
      This is what was recommended to me by people who have passed all the levels.

      Now, that being said, I realized that the CFAI books are the vest

      *Now that being said, I’ve realized that the CFAI books are the best. So if you have enough time, depending on your college/office schedule, consider studying from CFAI books.  You’ll have to make notes while studying from these.

      You could check out FinQuiz notes too. They’ve put up sample notes on their website. However, I am not sure of how popular these notes are. But I have found them to be pretty good.

      There are other cheaper options like Analyst Notes. They provide with a sample on their website. So do check it out and see it you like them.

      For L1 & L2 I used Schweser books, Qbank, Practice exams and Secret Sauce (L2 only) then used EOC from CFAI texts. Worked well for me.
      Schweser books are easy to follow and understand…and obviously shorter. I found Qbank useful for L1 but not at all for L2. I bought Secret Sauce for L2 and really found it useful for review purposes. I used a lot of Schweser practice exams towards the end for L1, but only one for L2 (used more CFA old exams instead – way more valuable time spent there).
      Never tried any other providers, but those online videos by Signal that @Sophie blogged  about look pretty sweet.

      Thanks for the replies. I assume this means you’re recommending purchasing the “Premium Instructor Package” for Level 1? My firm has allocated me a spending budget for resources, and this falls well within that, so its not a problem with price.

      If I follow the 6 CFA Institute Curriculum books and the Schweser Premium Package, I should be good to go?

      @TheLetace it is highly probably that you will have everything you need to study for L1 with those resources. Key for level one seems to be to get through the material relatively quickly and then hit the practice questions hard and often! Good luck!

      Great stuff. Thanks a ton! Now to just get through it all!
