        Hello – Brand new to CFA prep – registered for L1. First day of studying and have many questions, first one being how critical is for exam prep the recommended reading assignments listed in the beginning of each topic?Thanks

            Hey p90xgus, 
            The Reading Assignments in the CFA official material are the chapter headings as far as I know. Its not a list of recommended books. CFA official material is good enough for preparation, however you can buy additional notes/aids to enhance your learning or to save time or to prepare faster/easier. Use a mix of materials that you feel comfortable with.
