Here is the mail that I received
As a follow up to our email regarding your May exam registration, CFA Institute is pleased to offer you the opportunity to register for the November 2021 computer-based exam window at no additional charge.
REGISTER FOR NOVEMBER EXAM: As a reminder, registration and scheduling for the 2021 computer-based CFA exams is a two-step process.
Step 1: To register, log in to your account. Your account has now been updated to allow you to register for the November 2021 exam window. No payment is required. The deadline to register is 10 August.
Step 2: To schedule in your CFA account, go to My Enrollment and click Schedule Your Exam. You will be re-directed to the Prometric Scheduling Queue to schedule your exam. You must schedule your exam appointment in order to take the exam. Available dates, times, and test center options will be presented to you during the scheduling process. The deadline to schedule is 15 August.
Please note: Appointment availability may be limited at this time. We are continuing to add capacity in all areas. Additional appointment options will be available by 14 May.
We encourage you to act as soon as possible to ensure you do not miss your opportunity to register and schedule your November exam. You may review the exam calendar dates here.
TWICE-IMPACTED CANDIDATES As a reminder, you may be eligible for a refund if this is your second exam impact due to COVID-19. CFA Institute will contact you directly via email in early June if you are eligible for a refund. If you chose to register for the November 2021 window at no cost, you will not be eligible for a refund.
We appreciate your patience. Please understand that the CFA Institute Customer Care department does not have any more information at this time, so we will be unable to respond to questions until we have completed the preparations to support your options. Thank you for your patience.
$250 seems to be the rescheduling fee which should not be applied.
CFA Institute should have given you specific instructions on how to re-register for Nov 2021. In the past, this involved withdrawing from your current (i.e. May 2021) CFA exam and registering as a new candidate for your new (Nov 2021) exam.
I would have a good look at your CFA Institute email and check that you’re following the steps exactly. If there are still issues, email CFA Institute (email@example.com).
Good luck – let us know how it turns out!
