This is because we only focus only on what you need. Our Adapt exam engine (question bank) has only exam-style questions. Our study material has only to-the-point video lessons and a manual (study notes). Lots of providers have extra books (6+ more books on top of the CFAI books!) and other extra material, all of which add to the cost. We have focused on a streamlined yet effective set of materials. Also, we encourage you to use our materials alongside the CFAI curriculum books, since that is the source material.

Reliability is a good question, as there really is a lot of scam and sub-par materials. Our instructor is Mike Carmody, CFA, FSA. Mike is well known for Study JAM, which were prep materials for the financial actuarial exams. He knows how to help people pass exams (watch the videos to see his teaching). Our question bank has been fully reviewed by an independent CFA for exam-worthiness and runs on the Adapt platform, which has served up over 1 million exams and quizzes for actuarial and financial exams. Also, we have several staff members currently going through the CFA exams so we know our material is aligned with the actual exam.
