So what doesn’t change year over year?

In reading some of the forum threads it is clear that some of the curriculum contents and the question weighting change year over year. I presume most of the CBOK is stable (how much can quants really change?) but I’m hesitant to make that assumption.

So, for those of you who’ve been doing this a while, how stable is the body knowledge examined? What can be safely studied without worrying about the as-yet-unannounced changes to the 2014 exams, especially for Level 1?

Or am I just being overly cautious where a judicious application of common sense is due?

      Thanks.

So the material covered is pretty stable. Is it a matter of emphasis that changes rather than core material?

I think core material changes, but normally they are ‘fringe items’ – for example not a completely new FRA section, but deletion of addition of a sub section within FRA

Safe to say that not much will change across one year. Ethics would be the safest in my opinion.

Elan and some other providers will publish a changelog of sorts anyway so you should be covered.

Thanks @Zee and @Sophie. That helps.

Things moving between levels may also happen, e.g. a section moves to Level 2, or vice versa.
