If I’m currently in my 4th year of my undergraduate degree (8th semester of double major in finance & accounting), but don’t graduate until I do one extra semester (therefore graduating in Dec 2017), am I eligible to take the CFA this June? I’m worried that the CFA has a different definition of final year in an undergraduate degree program.

I can confirm that they aren’t that strict about this. The main thing is as @rsparks says – the final charter will require 4 years of professional experience so you may have to wait for a bit to get the official charter.

you can always call them or email but seeing that you’re graduating in Dec and the exam is in june, you’ll be able to sign up. They still require 4 years professional experience, so I don’t think they are that strict with ‘final’ year.
