Not sure if anyone experience this recently.
Although the deadline for registering and enrolling Level 1 exam in May is not due, one cannot select the option for May exam but only July earliest is available?
Anyone knows the reason? tried to call CFA hotline but in vain nobody picking up call for half an hour

Is there any possibility that registration for L1 May 21 will open again? Or was the Feb date change final?

Hi @lazylemon, unfortunately CFA Institute just (again) changed dates unannounced yesterday, by closing the L1 May 21 registration earlier than 23 Feb 2021 (the previous date for final registration). They have since updated it to 2 Feb 2021 due to reaching full capacity. It is pretty frustrating.

Hi @mia, it’s unlikely CFA Institute will reopen the L1 May 21 registration. In the last year, more often their issue is them closing the registration before the initially-announced deadlines, so it’s best to register early for the exam cycle you’re interested in.
It is mainly due to exams getting cancelled/postponed and spilling over to the next cycle subsequently.
