Got good news with my L1 results yesterday(!). Was ready to get back at it and register for L2 today.
Is it just me or did fees hike up almost 50%? I recall paying $450 for J15 and now it’s a whopping $650 for J16.
Any thoughts on this? What on Earth could possibly cause the CFAI to raise exam fees that much?

Just went in to try and register for Level 1 again. do we not get some sort of discount or is $630.00 the discounted value?

@mlegrellier, you should have to pay the $450 fee again on top of the $650 exam fee.
So the first time around you paid $450 + $630, whereas now its $650. I don’t think there aew any other discounts from CFA Institute unfortunately.

There’s a slight hike. The $450 is the one-time enrolment fee that you paid for L1 (that you don’t have to pay again). Last year’s exam fees were $630:

@Zee , that makes sense now that you mention it. I went and looked at the receipt from back in September. Not necessarily organized very well from a CFAI perspective, but it was definitely $630.
I guess that the $20 increase isn’t the end of the world at all!
@mlegrellier, not sure what the process is there, unfortunately.
