What is everyone’s study schedule for this final week of preparation for the June exams? In the US its Memorial Day weekend so all my friends are heading to the beach for 3 days of debauchery. I on the other hand (along with the 300 Hours Community) will be touching up on weak areas and taking practice tests. The plan that I’ve followed so far since 5/13 was to reread and review Econ, FRA, Test – Quant, Fixed Income, Test – Ethics, Test, – and then review weak spots for the final 3 days. I’ve been spending about 2-3 hours a night in the local library following full work days and I feel mentally drained and physically exhausted. I think I need a night off but my guilty conscience keeps saying “8 days left”. Has anyone else taken or planned to take a full day off prior to June 1 with so little time remaining? I’m running on fumes and the three things keeping me motivated right now are Starbucks, the Rocky IV soundtrack and a reciting quote from an early 2013 blog posting on 300hours – ‘Dicipline is choosing between what you want now and what you want most’. I wont be at the beach, but at least I can catch up on sleep this weekend. Good luck to all!

I feel ya @mattyc I usually take Friday’s off to help rejuvenate me before the weekend grind but that voice in my head keeps telling me to push through it. I normally take that last day off before the test though. When I took level I last year, I was so distraught during the test because I could feel that my brain was fatigued and kicked myself for not resting beforehand. Everyone is different, but I might suggest at least taking one day off before the test.

My motivation combo is made up of coffee/energy drinks and Eric Thomas videos on Youtube!

Hey @mattyc..I have taken off from work for the week..I did go through all my mocks..sunday I am planning to see through all paper errors again..and 3 days would be dedicated to a through read to secret sauce..followed by a day of ethics and a day of just about nothing related to CFA…that pretty much sums up my plan through Sunday till Saturday the 1st!!…I suggest u go for at least a day of nothing or light review as u seem to be burning out a bit which honestly you shd avoid 😀
        Hope this helps

I’ve finished the Schweser Practice Tests Vol 1 and 2, and identified my weakest areas which are Eco, FRA, and PM (though this one has fluctuated quite a bit like CF). I still have the CFAI mock to do, which i’ll do next week. So apart from that, i’m planning to go through the Elan 11th Hour guide to touch up on my weak areas.

Aw that’s great @mattyc – time off is always good. Brain needs to rest after all before the big game!

Thanks @Diya, that was quite helpful. I think I’ll do the CFAI one on Monday and my last one, the BSAS exam, on Wednesday. My FinQuiz tests and Finance Train test had lots of typos too, so I’m used to them by now!

Thanks @dollarstodonuts and @sankrutimehta. I decided to take last night off and enjoy a nice dinner out with my wife. All CFA and work related conversation was banned for the night. After a good nights rest I feel refreshed and ready to kick some ass 😀 >:/ . I think I’ll check out some Eric Thomas videos later on in the week if I need extra motivation.

            (Level II candidate)
I am going through FRA worked examples today (Sunday). Tomorrow I’ll do one mock exam, then review on Tuesday, then do the CFAI mock test on Wednesday, and do all the necessary remedial studies in the next two days.
