Hey guys I just am getting my MBA in may and I want to go into an investment field so i am going to sign up to take the CFA exam in december 2014 or june 2015 turned down for another dam analyst job. Got an interview but passed over by someone with a CFA i was looking at the CFA institute website and ran across the CIPM program and it seems appealing for me since I can get it in about one year and only have to take one test. I want to get my CFA but I need a job and want to get one as an analyst so I wondered if getting My CIPM first would be wise then after I get a job start working on my CFA. Do you guys know anything about this?

hmm.. I’m not sure. Personally never seen that many people with a CIPM, but that doesn’t mean it’s not a great qualification though. Then, I generally view 3 acronyms behind your name is a little much, a MBA,CFA would be more than sufficient 🙂

hey @Conman89‌ , so you wanted to go in a research analyst role? I think CFA would be more relevant then. It seems like an industry standard to have CFA in that role. While I get your point on CIPM taking less time/resources, I am doubtful if that’s useful for your job search in this field? You have an MBA already, that should be the anchor of your job search (before you get the CFA), doing anything else like CIPM would not seem to be helpful, in my opinion.
