Hi everyone. Thought I'd make my first post here a bit more worthwhile than a simple hello. The Allen CFA apps (qbank, audio series, etc.) are on sale this weekend for $35 instead of the usual $100 per component. I've read mixed reviews on them (primarily that some of the material is dated), but it seems like they're trying to get their shit together with frequent updates, so I got the qbank for $35. It lets you create custom quizzes by LOS like the online Schweser one, with the key difference that it's on you iPhone/iPad. I haven't had a chance to dive in yet, but seems worth a try. On a related note, I tried the free Stalla app and was not too impressed, although the potential is enormous (review materials on your iPad with your highlights and notes sent to the cloud, and take quizzes on your iPhone). Hopefully it will integrate with Schweser better over time, since they're both owned by Kaplan now. Exam Jam isn't bad for free either.

I'd be interested to see if Allen CFA have stepped up their game.

  I recommend Allen’s mp3s and use them for nocturnal programming. Also, I have learned a lot of practical shortcuts from the FRA “problem series” videos. However, in my opinion, Allen’s customer service can be better. They will not allow the direct exchange of one service for a similar, equally-priced service.
  
  Nonetheless, after I receive reliable intel on which specific videos Olinto will be conducting for 7city, I will ordering those in level 1 & 2.

  Tried a few questions. They are not bad, although the answer explanations are not of Schweser quality. Another major annoyance is the iPad and iPhone accounts don’t sync. Still, not bad for $35 considering how overpriced all CFA study materials are.
