Im based in Toronto and considering taking up CFA local society’s membership. I’ve a level 1 candidate looking to join the society purely for networking and to explore career/job-related opportunities. Please share your thoughts and feedback on how this would help me. If you can share your personal experiences it would be great. Thanks.
The networking events in CFA societies are alright, but what might help even further is to volunteer at the society. That gets you really far – not many people do that, and you’ll get way more connections that way. Plus the commitment is not as much as you think. Not sure how it is in Toronto but imagine it should be similar!
