@Maroon5‌ I figured out how to a couple of minutes after I posted that. Just hadn’t confirmed my email. Thanks though! Here is my new discussion: https://300hours.com/forum/discussion/1317/engineering-to-finance-help-looking-for-a-pre-level-i-basic-finance-book-to-get-familiar#latest Please feel free to comment if you have any suggestions:
Up::4I m taking the CFA Level 1 Dec exam and going for the Schweser notes. Should I order the printed material (pretty costly considering I am in Europe) or online version is also user friendly?
Many thanks
I haven’t looked into the Schweser notes yet but I usually like printed ones. They are all expensive unfortunately. I am taking Level I in December as well. I was wondering do you know any pre-Level I book to familiarize myself with finance? I am switching from my Engineering bachelors degree and I feel like I need an intro book.
in reply to: Just started studying! #77830Up::2I have been trying to start a new discussion post because I have a question, but have been unable to find a link to start one. Can anyone point me in the right direction?
Up::2@Sophie‌ @hairyfairy‌ @vincentt‌ Thank you all for the comments and the encouragement. Hope you guys don’t mind if I contact you again if I have any further questions.
@vincentt‌ Thanks for the breakdown. It really helped me out to get a general idea of what I’m dealing with here.I just thought of another question which I’ve been unable to find an answer to…
I know the requirement to get a charterholder status is 4 years of work experience etc., and to finish the CFA Program is to just finish up the three levels. My question is, having an engineering bachelor’s degree, is it possible to get an entry level job after just finishing up and passing the Level I exam?
Up::1@GeorgeKop‌ Do you know if there is any difference between the 2013 Level I curriculum and the 2014 Level I curriculum?
Up::1@Sophie‌ I apologize for the late reply. Just got very busy the past few days. To answer your question, I am still trying to figure out what section of CFA I actually like. I will have a better idea of what topic interests me as I continue to study. So right now it’s hard to say what roles i’m looking for. Where and what kind of positions can I become eligible for? I am completely new to this industry and still trying to figure out how it all works.
Up::0Hello everyone. I registered for Level 1 exam today and looking forward to be a part of this community.
