Schweser Mock scores going backwards now in book 2

@alta12 did you do the AM ones as well or just the PMs? Also, did you know that CFAI has issued the mock PM C?

@RaviVooda‌ did CFAI PM B have not worked on A (one of you mentioned not to?) or C just printed.

Did you try 2010 AM?

@alta12, we have come this far. Let us nail this down. One funny(good) thing is I am feeling better in derivatives after all 6 exams 😛

@vincentt, do half in the morning and do its review in evening. I did some papers like that only

@vincentt, I found it to be ok. Not easy but not tough too. I think I scored 65+ in that

@alta12, even my scores were pathetic. it was over concentrated on derivatives and fixed income. Very unlikely we are going to get papers like that. All item sets were completely mixed. Schweser wanted us to know these concepts better. I also felt the same while writing second book. But got to know those concepts better. Don’t get disappointed.

That’s good enough @vincentt. Well at least you now know the areas you need to brush up on @Alta12 @RaviVooda‌ – at this point it’s OK not to worry too much about scores once you’ve done the minimum amount of practice papers. Level 3 is a little different, I never passed 63% in my practice papers I recall – just keep going.

@alta12, @vincentt how is the 3rd CFAI mock? I am thinking whether to skip it? What do u guys suggest?

@vincentt, yes I worked on 2010.

Mock A is just a repeat of the individual assessments. So no point doing again. I have decided to skip Mock C. Willl concentrate on strengthening formulas, mistakes down in mocks and other stuff we already know

@alta12 when you say sample question did you mean EOC question?

Well i found 3 itemsets in A and B taken from CFAI 2013 AM, but non from C.

How did you guys find 2010? There’s only 1 question in 2011 that is no longer in L3 2014 and the rest seems pretty valid.

@sophie i realised in the AM part (past years), if they target a certain concept and you don’t really know that’s easily 5-15 points gone, which is very worrying judging from the fact that sometimes luck might come into play.

Unlike the vignette, when they hit a certain topic or reading they test various areas but in the essay part they do hit on a very niche concept within the reading or topic.

@alta12 i used to take a week off but i find myself not doing much especially on the last few days so it’s kind of wasted. I’m only taking 2 days off this time.

@RaviVooda‌ to be honest I never managed a full AM & PM paper before the real exam, just too exhausting.

@alta12, doing B and C should be sufficient. A is same as sample questions

@alta12, I am done with schweser mocks.

@alta12 i’ve only done 5 full mocks, have not reached the second book.

@alta12, exam 3 in book 2, I found to be most toughest. I managed to score 65 in it. In 1st one my score was 68AM-57PM

@alta12 are you on holiday or something? I can’t manage a full AM & PM paper on weekdays, sadly even on weekends i only manage half a paper + review each day.
