Author Posts fabianParticipant 04 Apr 2017 at 4:09 pm Up0:: I seem to remember learning a lot of Quant Method stuff in Level 1 that is not present in Level 2. Are the things in Level 1 still testable in the Level 2 exams? vincenttParticipant CFA Level 3 05 Apr 2017 at 4:36 pm Up2:: Does that mean, readings such as the first two in FRA (inventories and long-lived assets) wouldn’t get tested? artyeaselParticipant 04 Apr 2017 at 5:49 pm Up1:: Nope, it’s not really going to be tested. Technically I suppose they would be allowed to, but I doubt they will. There’s too much to test for Level 2! Zee TanKeymaster CFA Charterholder 04 Apr 2017 at 6:54 pm Up1:: As @artyeasel says, it’s not really tested. I wouldn’t worry about it unless you need to know it for Level 2 topics. Sophie MaconKeymaster 05 Apr 2017 at 4:40 pm Up1:: Not directly @vincentt. There would be indirect assumed knowledge of FRA basics etc of course. But not explicitly testing Level 1 stuff. vincenttParticipant CFA Level 3 05 Apr 2017 at 4:40 pm Up1:: @sophie that would be better, don’t want to spend too much time on those topics but of course it’s something that a level 2 candidate should know.
