I had completed 1st round of studying schweser notes last week…During my study I just took each book one by one but didn’t revise them. So now when I start revising, say FRA , it again takes me a lot of time (less than before but then too a LOT). Since I have a engineering background, I really need to revise everything to get a hold over concepts. I also have my end sem exams starting from 15-27 nov… I am now confused since if I start revising everything, I wont be able to solve any practice papers and questions…I know how important solving practice papers and questions is…How should I go about this…please help ??? Also ,crucial 13 days would go in my end sem preparation… but I have the time after 28 nov completely devoted to CFA… Please suggest a plan!

@Abhinav, what do you mean that you studied schweser notes but did not revise them? Sounds contradictory..

Why ? I just used Schweser notes to study and understand each topic for the first time but now I don’t remember them…so I feel I should have revised each topic, a week after studying it!

If I were you I’d be hitting the practice questions to find out which areas you don’t know (or are scoring badly on).

Then I’d work out a rough score-per-topic and compare this against topic weightings to see how far off a 70% pass score you are.

From there, you can focus your attention on ways to close any gap between your target score (of at least 70%) and your current score.

If your background (and current study?) is engineering, then you might be better to focus on those studies and re-sit the Level 1 in June 2014. Getting the CFA Charter 6 months early is probably not going to be hugely advantageous if in the process you fail your engineering degree (or get set back a year).

Agree with @mitch895 completely. Practice like crazy and then go back and revise Schweser notes on areas you’re lacking in. I don’t see how it’s possible to salvage this given your time planning and commitment with other exams? You need to prioritise one if you can’t do both else you risk jeopardising both!
