        Yes, I guess you just have to back out r like any calculator…

          In the exam, will we have time to execute algebra “in the old-fashioned way” ? no much time for linear interpolation either … that’s how i see it.

            You can’t type in the whole formula and have a one-button solve, if that’s what you’re asking. As @fp92 says you’ll have to do it the old-fashioned way.

              @HEDGE81B the exam is pretty time-intensive, so best to practice if that’s something you’re going to struggle with.

              Not sure what your point about linear interpolation is. I don’t think I’ve ever come across a CFA question with linear interpolation before so that’s probably moot.
