Hi all, while studying for the CFA exams I thought of a mobile app that could help memorise and practice the formula calculations. After successfully completing the studies last year I created and published such app for Android phones. Please feel free to give it a try and let me know what you think. (Note: it is free, has ads). It is available in Google Play store and is called “Bob’s CFA® Formula Memorizer”. Thank you!

It’s a pretty nice simple cheat sheet app, it definitely beats going through notes when I need to try to find a formula. The only thing that I don’t like is the calculator (only because I’ll be tempted to use it which won’t help me memorize the formula for the test)…but I’ll try to fight the temptation.

Btw, there’s no Covariance formula in QM (in case you want to add that in in a future update)…anyway, cool app.

Any chance of getting this on the IOS as well?

Thanks a lot Pahtsan for trying it out and for leaving an excellent feedback!

I guess my idea was that we would try the formula with the pen and paper and then refer to the app to compare the results. Or when we are on the go (e.g.  on the bus to work) we look at the formula, enter the numbers and see the variables substituted in the formula. I may consider providing an option to disable the calculator fields so you’re not tempted to use it 🙂 If I do an update, I’ll also include the Covariance formula.

Thanks again and good luck with the exam!

I am afraid not, at least not in the near future.
