One really useful tip that I picked up a long time ago is to never read or listen to the news on the way to work. Generally that gets you in a deep funk that tends to last most of the day. Much better to play games on your phone or listen to music – gets me going on the right mood!

One point I would like to add is – go to gym during lunch time and attend some music based classes such as spin or body pump. You will effectively divide your day in two parts with a refreshing break of listening to upbeat music.

@tacheman you gt read the news to be on the same page at work – esp. in finance. But I can justify your answer with: whatever you’re reading in the Journal on the way to work, you should have read on Bloomberg the day before.

Good read. Thanks for sharing. I like the idea of waking up early. It makes the morning less rushed and stressful. Nut right now I’m lacking in sleep from studying so much, so that tid bit might have to wait until june
