@MattyJ Formal ceremony – hmmm – not sure that sounds very fun. Though I guess you never know 🙂
Up::3Quick q – I passed level 3 this year (yay), have just paid up to be a member of the institute and local society and have had my work experience approved (per the CFA website). How do I get the actual letters after my name? I was kind of expecting just to automatically be awarded the charter, but I’m not in the member directory (or list of new members) as a charterholder…
Do I need to do anything to apply? There’s nothing obvious on the website as far as I can see…in reply to: Accommodation Suggestion for London Candidates #75338Up::3Don’t know if this topic is too old for anyone still to be reading it, but I also stayed at the (delightfully cheap) Premier Inn in 2011 and 2012, but found that it didn’t exist any more in 2013 – not sure whether that’s a temporary thing or not – I have a vague feeling it might have been being refurbished.
This year, I stayed at something called Ibis Styles – also v cheap and cheerful, but comfy enough, reasonable parking/transport and a two ir three minute walk from the exam.
Definitely worth booking lots in advance – it can get properly expensive if you leave it late.Up::2@Sophie Awesome! I was going to to say that I shall stash it away with my ACA one (also ridiculously large), but I realise that I have no idea where that might be or even if it still exists 🙂
in reply to: References #75313Up::1@MattyJ Me too 🙂 I didn’t know about the September 4th thing – was wondering how one went about getting the actual letters after one’s name…
