Hello,
I did my Bachelors in Commerce in the year 2008. Since then I have been working with Willis. It is an insurance broking firm. and I am into back end operations.
As you can see I do not have any finance background. So is CFA the right decision? -

@sagar87 Age is not really a factor. CFA is all about Asset Management. Having said that, it does provide you with a great background in various areas of finance.
Being a Bachelor of Commerce, you would have a background in accounting, which can help you in one of the main topic areas of CFA. As far as the decision goes, its about you weighing in your options and like @sophie said, depends on your career goals.

Thanx Sophie and AJ. If I start preparations from nw and I give 15 hours every week till October and then 10 hours a day each in November, should that be enough to clear level 1? I may be sounding a little dumb but I am very low on confidence as I havent given any exam after 2008.

Yeah Sophie. I am planning for a career switch. I am into Insurance Accounting Operations now. Till I clear my level 2 its difficult to land up a job in finance field. And till then I will be 28 and a fresher in finance. Therefore I am concerned about the age. 🙁
