        Yup absolutely @Dan. Was trying to see the amount of data I could collect and adjusted for PPP.

        @AjFinance
        , I’m not sure though. I kinda like not being put in a box, and CFA, like MBA, gives you many career routes to explore with additional flexibility. The downside I suppose is some say it’s not essential.

        Hey @WesMantooth‌ – this was a little frustrating as I had insufficient data (since 300H readers are global) to have statistically significant conclusions.

          @Sophie, this is an insightful piece, and I never thought about it this way before. Thanks a lot! I’ve entered my data, hopefully you have enough data to have a statistically significant analysis to share! 🙂

          Thanks for your kind words @Maroon5. Just trying to help here as I got quite a few queries on this.

          Do spread the word and share this article with your friends, and hopefully I have enough data to have a stab at this perplexing question.

          @Sophie Great post as always 🙂 I sometimes wonder if it is better that the profession has a defined career path/progression or is it better the way CFA is?

          @Sophie @Zee The post kind of got me thinking on those areas. But having said that, I also value flexibility. And I guess there are a lot of organisations that offer accounting designations across the world. But there aren’t any direct competitors for the CFA institute.

          I think it’s relevant to get into account the cost of living for each country. e.g. 20k USD a year in Colombia means a lot more than 20k in the US.

            @dan that’s a good point. The survey is not a quest to learn ‘who is the best paid’, but rather create a good dataset of what a reasonable expectation should be wherever you are.

              @AjFinance I always prefer flexibility! I’m not exactly a traditional CFA charterholder…
