@Alta12 I’ll definitely wanna complete CFA but I won’t be enrolling just yet, hoping that my employer could sponsor.

If you receive the email right away are you more likely pass? Do failing candidates wait longer?

@sophie i’m having a dilemma on whether to give an analyst role a try or perhaps stick to IT (software development) in finance. So far I’ve only applied for IT in FS.

but if your goal is to get into AM, any role that gets you closer to that goal should be considered. It’s sometimes harder to jump direct, but gradually switching over works all the time.
E.g. if you get an investment banking or equity research role with your CFA, do it for a year, and aim for AM –> easier than trying to hop into AM from IT. I suppose it’s less risky from an employer’s point of view

@mattyc there is no correlation to pass/fail etc, simply a function of email servers.
Sorry to hear @djwestwood…

@zee I think I was on the verge of hyperventilating during the half-hour that I was waiting for the results e-mail hahahaha (scarier than exam itself, for realz)

I passed! I really enjoy this blog, it was only a shame I found it after I took the test. But it will be really helpful for level 2.

It’s not a given that they will sponsor the next level as well? Well I hope to see you in L3 forum. Many thanks for all your help. Very much appreciated.

@sophie but it seems analyst role can be for anything, most of the time it’s not even related to asset management.
