I’m already in the investment industry and work with charterholders. But my networking outside of the workplace is sorely lacking. Hopefully, membership in the local society will help kickstart that avenue for me.

I recently graduated from a part-time program with a partner school. Some of the curriculum was reflective of the CFA curriculum, but not nearly as much as you would want as a candidate. There were a few charterholders in the faculty, but it wasn’t their aim to get anyone to pursue the CFA program.

Agree with Christine and the link is great as well. It is a nice bonus for the school to be a partner, but there doesn’t seem to be much weight with it quite yet. It could be a tool for better exposure for the program as many b-school students from other industries have no idea what the CFA program is.

I plan on taking it easy at least until November. But maybe because results are still fresh, I’ve been obsessed with noodling around different topics such as checking out Elan notes (I used Schweser for L1).

I’m sure that once I get comfortable and stop thinking about it, it’ll be time to start studying again. 😐

I’ve been spending my time on the train peeking at the ethics portion of the material. I am a slow reader, so casually getting ethics out of the way will help get me a jumpstart. I plan to really begin in November.

I’m late to this party, but I wanted to say that I passed L1 after failing band 9 in December.

I ended up turning most of my weaknesses into strengths and this forum/blog has been an immense help. The people on this site are always positive, and it really helped me chug through those few months where I was dreading another failure.

Congrats to those who passed; and to those who didn’t, I am a bit of proof that you should keep at it!
