Up::10
In December 2020 CFA Institute were cancelling exams up to 2 days before exam day. I assume it’s the same deal for May.
Smh.
in reply to: CFA Institute Level 1 Mock Exam missing? #104347Up::6Same for me, no mock exam.
Between the last minute cancellations, no communication, and now no mocks, the CFA exam experience has been terrible. ☹️
in reply to: CFA Level 1 Mock Exam #87875Up::3The Feb candidates had 3 sets of mocks each in the old format, i.e. 3 answer options, AM and PM.
in reply to: Convertible Bonds formulas explained #88188Up::2In the graph, is the reason why bond value is declining in the ‘distressed’ section because of credit risk?
in reply to: CFA Level 2 ASAP, or focus on start of job? #88181Up::1Just go for it, you’re at your least stressed and have the most time at the start of your career. If you fail just try again, so it’s free option.
in reply to: How to postpone your CFA exam #104350Up::1Call them directly. You may have to wait a while but usually they pick up.

If your local number doesn’t work, try calling their US phone number directly (you’ll have to wait a long time so make sure you use a free US-calling service).
Up::0Just because someone passed in 2 weeks does not mean anyone can do it if they follow what this person did. In fact is probably very unlikely they will get the same results.
in reply to: How difficult is CFA for engineers? #87997Up::0I wouldn’t discount coding just yet, coding knowledge and finance is highly sought after. Just depends on the type of coding skills.
You should be fine for CFA Level 1 assuming your math background is solid. Set aside a good chunk of time (300 hours approx over 4+ months) and do lots of mocks.
There is a planner here that can guide you on most of this stuff, I think it’s in the guides section.
