in reply to: Which Schweser package is recommended for Level 1 #82951in reply to: Which topic did you find the hardest in Level 1? #82752Up::5
I took Level 1 in June 15 and thankfully passed. Not to mention how dreadful my practice went in Economics section despite of spending a whole one month on studying this segment only. Ended up scoring in the bracket 50%-%70 (For Economics)
Up::4@Stuj79 Totally agree on what you just recommended. Quant forms the basis for other readings too so make sure you are familiar with the quant concepts. Then you can move on to Corporate and Equity section. However, if you are not a fan of economics, remember this segment requires a great deal of time. So make sure you don’t keep it for the end.
in reply to: Duration of Time On Each Section #82754in reply to: When is the right time to start studying for L2? #82894Up::4Thanks for the valuable suggestions, @Katyusha77 and @dodo A lot of other people have also been stressing on referring to CFA curriculum for L2. I tend to do the same.
Up::4I am a L2 candidate. Looking around this forum and it already feels like i am at the right place to get my queries answered.
in reply to: Kaplan Qbank #82952in reply to: When is the right time to start studying for L2? #82855Up::2Thanks for your responses, @ZeeLondon and @dodo I have been advised to read CFA curriculum if I have time to start as early as in November. Do you recommend I read CFA curriculum or should I just stick to Scheweser like I did for L1?
in reply to: Which Schweser package is recommended for Level 1 #82950Up::2You should go with the premium package because for level 1, schweser is the key. But if you plan on reading the CFAI, then just buy basic package.
in reply to: Practice Exams #83012in reply to: Level II Prep Schedule #82942Up::0@SaraRibeiro I would suggest you stick to only a selected providers (preferably Schweser and CFAI) because L1 is pretty straightforward with the calculations and Schweser does a good job in compiling all important formulas at the end of every volume. Clearing L1 will feel like a breeze if you make sure that you are able to master the calculation part with these formulas.
