Hi, I am studying for Level 1 and various sites suggest there is a level 1 exam in August of 2022; I can’t seem to find mention of it on CFA’s website or a place to register. Is that just because registration is not yet open?

        Thank you!

Yes – there is an August 2022 exam, but registration for it is not yet open.

            Hi there-

I am scheduled for CFA Level 1 on February 2022 and I don’t think I am ready yet. I did not find a system that worked for me until several months after I started and I feel like I am now playing catch up. However, I am very confident that I will be in August of 2022. Can I withdraw and then re-apply for August 2022? I realize that this will mean paying all over again, which I understand is the price I pay. Or should I go ahead and take the exam in February 2022 with my current process, knowing that this is my trial run?

Also, if I withdraw and apply again for August 2022, will I also have to pay the first-time $450 enrollment fee all over again?

                • Yes, you can withdraw from Feb’22 and re-register for Aug’22.
                • If you withdraw, you will lose the exam reg fee, but to my understanding you will NOT have to pay the one-time enrollment fee again.
                • If you’re able to dedicate November, December, January to studying (i.e. Christmas, New Years etc aren’t a distraction) I would say you still have time to fully catch-up. In any case, since the exam fees are already a sunk cost, and you can register for Aug’22 in any case, I would say in most cases you should just go for Feb’22 and see if you manage a pass.

                Hope that helps!
