        Hi guys,

I’m looking for some feedback from people who have used the various third-party providers of practice questions & exams. I see in the Reviews & Offers section of this website that there are a bunch of different providers out there (plus others suggested by Dr. Google).

My question is whether there are any clear “winners”, in terms of quality and general value for money?

In my personal study plan I have scheduled 4 x practice exams (maybe overkill) in the lead-up to June, so I figure that I need a good 1,000 – 1,500 questions to hone my multiple-choice ninja skills.

        Thoughts? Comments? Recommendations??

(and ideally it would be good to have a system that’s Mac compatible)

        Cheers,

Adding to @sophie’s comments, I’d say:

          • Go for paper rather than computer-based practice exams. Simulate exam conditions as closely as possible, and your exam will be in paper format
          • Schweser’s Question Bank should work fine if you need extra questions. However I’m not sure if this is Mac compatible.
          • You could do more than 4 practice exams. Make sure you review the answers properly (i.e. take the time) and also do the free CFA Institute mock exam.

Hi @mitch895, 4 practice exams isn’t really an overkill, it’s the minimum in fact. We recommend 6 practice papers for best performance.

I’d say Schweser tends to be the most popular, closely followed by 7 City and Elan. They are all of solid quality. I personally used Schweser previously as I used their study notes as well for my preparation and ignored the curriculum due to lack of time (with hectic full time work) – hence got 2 books (6 practice papers) from them as well.
