      I always had trouble tracking the passage of time and I am usually filled with relief when I realize that there are twenty days left and not the five days that I keep thinking.

      I’ve managed to finish 7 mock sessions which if far more than I did for level 1 (I did four). I’ve actually seen some questions before because I was using some very marginal material (I came across a pretty hand study guide from China – don’t ask…). Unfortunately I still only managed a 65% cumulative score. Perhaps the most frustrating part is (more than the fact that I seem to have settled in for a 65%) is that my worst topic is portfolio management. I want to become a portfolio manager but maybe I need to reassess that dream. Maybe I’ll do it after June 1st.

      By the way I realize that it is spring and love is in the air but do all my close acquaintances have to get married this month? I can’t even wiggle out of the major events since the whole “once in a lifetime” quality of the events. I want to be horrible and want to remind them that divorce rates are 50% but I don’t want to be a total jerk…

      Talking about jerks, not sure why they even want me there with my agreeableness level not even 1/100 of my usual self… They have been warned!

      Now for study tips, I find it helpful to circle the answer I think is right and then leave a reason why I thought I was right and I leave questions blank if I don’t understand it (this does lower my mark BUT now I don’t have random reasons lurking around in my head and confusing my later when I see the same type of question again). Another thing I do is writing down the whole solution down for the questions I did wrong. It forces me to pay attention to the details. And the devil is in the details.

      Cheers and Happy Studying!
      I’m off to go pretty myself up and remind myself that I’m spending my evening with friends and I usually like them.

      I think I’ll be fine. I think he gave up on his pursuit of the CFA designation after he failed level II (or at least it is on hold)

      @Sophie
      I’m pretty sure I am not overdoing it. I still have time to go shopping, plan my trip to NYC with my friends and I’m following one Japanese drama, two Korean dramas and a reality tv show.

      No – I just hope they don’t follow this forum! :))

      you’ve got 3 weeks left. That’s enough time. There is such a thing as overdoing – so you’re on good timing @diya, keep it up!

        @Diya at least you arent in your best friends wedding on May 31st! The wedding is an hour away and the ceremony starts at 7pm! (not the cocktail hour, the actual ceremony) I’ve already told him that I cant drink and have to leave be 10pm but I really cant think of a worse scenario than what Im facing in a couple weeks. My plan is to catch up on sleep for 2 weeks leading up to that Friday, and try to remain calm. ~X(

        So whenever you’re feeling stressed I hope you can be thankful that this is not your reality haha.

          It helps if you’re not bogged down by job stress. It adds another layer of complication – so it’s good that you have that extra time. And yes, planning for something to look forward to is genius – helps motivation!

          @Sophie but that is only 3.5 full papers and I already took all of Friday off. LOL
          And that event had a live band which was interesting. I heard them for the first time about 4 years ago when I liked them the most and knew the least about music. I found it really hard to enjoy their performance on Friday night.

          But it was cute watching him serenade his bride to be. Would it be bad to admit that halfway through the performance I started reading classical literature?
