What I am trying to determine is ,given that I already work full-time in a non financial field, is it wise to pursue the CFA or should I consider the Certified Financial Planner exam/formal schooling route? Again, I will not be able to obtain FULL TIME work experience in the financial field for at least awhile.

considering CFA as a side to a full time job. my prior job was on a trading floor. I am now in the public sector with an opportunity to do fee-based financial planning. I will not be able to do full time work experience only part time Right Now. Is the CFA a viable option for me?
