December 2014 – too late?

      Hello,

I have had a hectic couple of months and am moving to a valuations department within the top 4 practice I work for – it means I thought I wouldnt have time to do the first level this December. However it appears the next few months are likely to be a lot quieter than I am currently used to, and probably more so than it will be in 6 months time!

If I start studying now – realistically though by the time I get everything sorted this will be August – will 4 months be enough? I’m hoping the ACA will help with this first level but I know that sort of thinking can cause issues so thought I would ask!

      Cheers!

      Hi Kredman,

I think starting in August would be more than enough.. just make sure you have gone though all material by October and save November for practice exams.. If you are still asking this question in October, then yes – you probably are late 🙂

      Hi @kredman‌

I started about a month ago and to be honest, you’ll have to really
power through some of the stuff to do it now for the December exam. But if you can get in about 3 to 4 hours a day without any gaps then you’ll possibly be able to get through the material. It’ll be VERY tough though I’d have thought. Can you dedicate the time to it?

Hey @kredman‌ – I think it’s still possible. You’d have to seriously bunker down and put the hours in, but I still think there is a reasonable amount of time left. Obviously would be better to start earlier though.

nah, you’re good to go, just keep at it, and target a quick revision for october and lots of problem solving, practice exams and revision of your notes/formulas for november
