Was wondering if the ‘extras’ that providers try and sell you, i.e. audio/video lectures, flashcards, etc help at all. Any experiences to share?

Am thinking of possibly getting some video lectures to help. Self studying can be a bit harsh when I don’t get a particular concept.

I just take notes. Not uber complete, but like jimmyg says the writing helps.

Using just the bare basics, but making my own flash cards. They really work!

I’ve found video lectures useful in the past. The disadvantage though is that they werent as moble (as dragging along 6 books anyway)

I always thought changing the format, mixing it up when learning helps. Kinda like Rosetta Stone style. I use video lectures and reading mainly, can’t stand classroom style lessons.

I’ve always used flash cards. Writing them is 75% of the effectiveness, i feel.
