Just to clarify – you have no work experience at all? Or no finance work experience?

To be honest it seems to me like you’ll just need to keep on plugging. Given that you’ve already passed all 3 CFA levels I think you’re good on the educational front for now. I’d focus on getting internships / placements / jobs rather than another course or qualification.

I have no relevant work experience. I am working as an IT recruiter for the past 18 months. I am applying for all junior level Finance positions in the tri state area, still no luck.

I agree with @tacheman. Also remember to socialise – press your personal contacts for any leads, attend any professional socials where you can. Join the CFA society in your area, volunteer to be on the committee (they’ll usually welcome enthusiastic volunteers!), and build your CFAI network from there.

Thank you for the comments. I will try to join the local CFA society.

              Hi,

I have completed all the 3 levels of CFA program in 2011. I don’t have any relevant work experience, because I didn’t have green card or work visa at that time. I got my green card in September 2014 and I am trying to get a job in Finance field with no luck since then. Can you please tell me what would be the best course of action for me? I tried to get into internships, but all of them want recent graduates or students. I would really like to use my educational qualification and get an entry level job in Finance. Do you think studying some Finance course would help me to get an internship? I would really appreciate your help.
