Background: I’m in the back office of treasury of a large bank. Being ‘in treasury’ sounds finance-related but back office work is anything but. I have been angling to join front office for 4 years now, along with most people in the team. However, I’m one of only two people to be in the CFA program, and the other guy only just registered for L1.
Just got my official yes to the transfer, job will start in the new year. Lots of factors involved obviously, but I was told for a fact that my candidacy in CFA was one of them.
Thanks for the advice on the blog, you guys are awesome. Hard work pays off, and I love everybody. (I may be still a little woozy from celebrating)

Congrats @excelmonkey ! Really great to hear another example that CFA helped ones career. What would you be doing in a front office job then?
