Can the CFA May 2021 exams to be held in India get cancelled due to the COVID-19 surge, or will exams take place? By when will the institute inform us regarding the same?

I am from Kolkata and the city is also hit very badly.This is really shocking to see that Kolkata’s name is not there in the list.I have family members tested positive and it would be risky too for others in Kolkata to attend the exam.

I have applied for a deferral option from May to November and it says that a mail shall be sent from cfa institute regarding steps to take the November exam but till now I haven’t received any such mail and 3 days have passed since I opted for deferral.Did anyone else receive any mail from cfa institute after opting for deferral?
