When I was doing Level 1 I was watching one of the CFA surgeries on the CFA UK website. The tutor holding the session commented that those who wrote the end of chapter curriculum questions where different from those who wrote the topic tests, who were different from the those who wrote the mock exam, who are different again from those who write the actual exam.
Up::3Hello I am new! Just in the process of working out when to start studying for L1. Can’t decide whether to bite the bullet and go for the Dec Level 1 2015 or June 2016, giving myself more time. I know many would favour doing the December exam to avoid burnout, but with a new baby, a house extension to plan and execute and a full time job the extra time would be useful.
Up::3The question 5 multiple choice answer look wrong – in fact they are the exact same answers as question 3!

For your weak areas use the CFA books, especially EOC questions.
in reply to: Undecided about pursuing CFA. #93777in reply to: CFA Program Study Material #82976Up::1Once you register the CFAI will give you access to the entire curriculum in the form of 6 eBooks, access to some test question and a mock exam. You can get hard copies of the curriculum at extra cost. If you also become a member of the CFAI (extra cost) there are is also a selection of webcasts to view.
After that you have the option of using a third party training provider such as Kaplan Schwester, Fitch Learning, Wiley Elan etc which can provide additional resources such as practice notes, video lectures, question, mock exams etc. Although this comes at additional cost (can be substantial).
