@Sophie – You are right, there is no such reason. It’s just that was a little keen on completing the Claritas programme before taking up CFA challenge as I feel that way I would be in a better position in understanding CFA level 1 syllabus being from a non-finance background and that will ultimately help me in clearing level 1. You don’t recommend taking up Claritas?? As you are well experienced so thought of taking your viewpoint.
Up3Hey Sophie, I’m from a non-finance background and currently working in a firm in Mumbai and looking after exports. I’m a bit apprehensive about sitting for lvl 1 Dec’13 attempt as just few days left and preparation was hampered due to some personal problems and have completely lost the study rhythm. Can you please help me out with my doubt. Is it worth going for Claritas and then sit for level 1 in June’14?
Up2Hey @Zee, thanks a ton for your valuable reply. With only 5 months left and a lot of syllabus to be completed, was a bit worried as cannot take a risk with only Ethics completed by now (rest all left as was hit by dengue fever) as the stake involved is too high. Being an Indian resident you can imagine what I must be thinking as the value of the rupee has depreciated considerably in the last few days, which directly affects the amount I have to shell out for CFA level 1. So, was thinking if completing Claritas in the meantime and then starting off with CFA by giving level 1 exams in June 2014 will be a smarter choice?
Up1Hi, I’m preparing for CFA Level 1 Dec’13. Had a doubt in mind…should I appear for Claritas first and then do my CFA or vice versa? Is Claritas a course worth considering?
