I’ve noticed that, Mondays, every single one of ’em turns out to be slow and not as productive as the rest. Feels like how I felt when i had to start studying the entire L1 syllabus at the start. Any one else got this? Or do you have your own day such as this?

To be honest, I’m so busy at work at the moment that every day seems to fly by! I’ve never known the weekend come round so quickly 🙂

@sidmenon I always take a day off from studying. My brain can’t seem to be functional 7 days a week. So I suppose everyone has a day that is equivalent to your “Mourning mondays”.

Hi @sidmenon, it’s normal to have that especially after a spurt of extremely high productivity. Then the universe seems to dictate that you have to conform to the average somehow and then bang, you have a day where you can’t seem to do anything… If you notice this, best is to take a full break from the books and come back fully recharged. :-t

I definitely mourn my Mondays. One way I address this is to schedule something I really look forward to (in my case I schedule a treat such as drinks or a nice dinner out). That makes my Mondays much more enjoyable!

I remember back in university, during finals season, I had to take one day off a week. No matter what – if I didn’t my productivity just went down quite fast. It was hard to take a day off, in fact! I just kept feeling guilty and that I should study, but I absolutely needed the time off.

Many of my friends are in IB – let’s just say I’m thankful I have enough of a weekend to mourn Mondays. Sad.

Well, i do take a day off, sort of. I study Monday to Saturday. And then Sunday, i do as little as possible, so it pretty much counts as a break in itself.
