1/x not working with HP 12c

      Hello all,

I was wondering if anyone else had this issue and if they were able to fix it. Basically, every time I press the 1/x key, my calculator automatically shuts off and then when I turn it back on, it displays “Pr Error.”

I know that this is the message the calculator gives in the event of a reset to factory defaults, but I’m obviously not trying to reset it but trying to reciprocate!

Any help is much appreciated. Thank you

No idea – but I found a page that discusses a problem that’s possibly similar to yours… http://www.hpmuseum.org/cgi-sys/cgiwrap/hpmuseum/archv016.cgi?read=105659

Luckily the problem appears to have solved itself. The problem in that thread isn’t exactly what I had but thanks for the help anyways.

For anyone else who might run into this, I think the problem may be the result of dying batteries (as discussed here http://www.wallstreetoasis.com/forum/s/hp-12c-reliability-pr-error)
